Agerpres - 7 Ianuarie 2010
The Government decided on Wednesday Jan. 6, to extend the deadline of the current shape of the First Home programme by Feb. 15, when a restructured formula placing more emphasis on the building of new homes will be put forward, PM Emil Boc announced at the Victoria Palace (Govt hqs), on Wednesday.
He underscored that there are 11,500 applications for the First Home programme, so far, which proves, according to him, that after six months in progress, the programme has attained its end. In the context, the Premier stressed that state guarantees worth 485 million euros were granted for the Programme.
'All the Romanians, who reached certified or privately signed pre-sale agreements, and will get them by Feb. 15, they may buy a home, in accordance with the current First Home Programme. After Feb. 15, the Government will come with a new restructured programme where, without giving up the current elements highlighting the finished homes, we will give the Programme, a new direction, putting more emphasis on the building of new homes, with a view to boosting the economy's multiplication effect,' PM Boc pointed out.
The Premier said that through the measure, the Government aims at re-launching the building sector and supplying additional resources through using the Governmental guarantees.
At the moment, the Programme allows the purchase of any kind of homes, to be built, under construction, or already finished. According to the available data, over 85 percent of the homes that the 11,500 applicants have bought, are finished homes, and over two thirds of the buyers are young people aged between 30 and 40,' Boc said.
