CNVM approves MPTO price for Rompetrol Rafinare - update

In a release to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the National Securities Commission (CNVM) announced it has approved the mandatory public tender offer price for Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC).
The price is set at RON 0.0741 per share and is 18.6% higher compared to the previous price proposed by TRG and rejected by CNVM. The MPTO price is 20% higher compared to RRC last trading price of RON 0.0618 (January 27). The offer will take place between February 12 and March 3. We believe that investors should accept the price offered by TRG since we believe that the probability that the minority investors will contest the CNVM decision and ask for a higher price is low, as well as the chance to win the case. RRC shares will resume trading today.
