Agerpres - 2 Martie 2010
As many as 14 IT companies in Romania take part this week, reunited under the single brand romaniaIT, in the 9th edition of CeBIT, the most important European technology fair organized in Hanover, announced the Employers Association of Software Industry and Services (ANIS).
According to the source, Romania will have a personalized stand in the 'IT Business' section and Romanian companies participation is part of the programme of exports promotion developed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment, the Romanian Center for the Promotion of Trade and Foreign Investments, under ANIS coordination.
A recently published study by the Institute for Computing Technics (ITC) revealed that, in 2008, the turnover in software and services sector stood at 2,54 billion euros, up 22 percent from 2007, only to drop last year by 25 percent on the backdrop of a dramatic downturn on the domestic market.
Romanian companies present this year in CeBIT 2010 are traditional exhibitors, but there is also a fresh presence. romaniaIT is an initiative launched in 2006, of public and private partners. Its members are ministries, public institutions, professional and business associations, as well as companies in IT sector. The goal of romaniaIT is to promote Romania on the international markets as a preferred location for partnerships, investments and IT industry.
The country brand romaniaIT was launched worldwide in March 2007, at CeBIT. The Romanian companies participated under this brand to more than 15 international events (fairs, exhibitions and bilateral economic gatherings).
