The national currency slips to a reference exchange rate of 4.0987 lei/euro

Romania's central lender BNR posted a reference exchange rate of 4.0987 lei per euro, 0.01 percent up from the previous session, as the national currency waved within a small range at debut, near 4.0970 per euro.

For the U.S. dollar, BNR's exchange rate reduced 0.50 percent to 3.0013 lei per dollar.

BNR posted an average interbank bid rate (ROBID) of 2.89 percent a year, down from 2.96 percent in the previous session, and an interbank offer rate for overnight deposits (ROBOR) of 3.39 percent, below the previous 3.46 percent.
