Petrom shares boost almost 9% on BSE at closing bell, pushing the BET index up by 2%

The ten most liquid shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) advanced an average 2 percent at day-end, the BET index being sustained by the spectacular evolution of Petrom shares, which also pushed up the index of the power sector.
Liquidity amounted to 27.72 million lei at closing bell.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE rose 1.98 percent to 5,725.93 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies soared 1.78 percent to 3,314.25.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIF gained 0.41 percent to 30,379.46 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna added 1.57 percent to 11,405.94.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies climbed 1.55 percent to 563.09 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market hiked 2.40 percent to 771.09.
Romania's top oil company Petrom (SNP) sponged deals of 7.55 million lei and boosted 8.93 percent to 0.3170 lei per share. Transgaz (TGN) inched 0.30 percent to 230.70 lei.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) jumped 1.22 percent to 1.66 lei and those of SIF Moldova (SIF2) grew 0.70 percent to 1.44 lei.
