Romania, the 31st in the top of the 50 biggest gold owners

Romania is the 31st in the top of the biggest 50 gold owners at global level, with official reserves of 103.7 tons, representing 0.34% of the total of 30.190.1 tons, according to a report of the World Council of Gold.
The United States ocuppies the first place, with 8.133.5 tons, respectively 26.9% of the total of official reserves at global level, followed by Germany ( 3.406.8 tons) and the International Monetary Fund ( 3.005.3 tons).
On the first ten positions there are in order Italy, France, China, Switzerland, Japan, Russia and the Netherlands. India is the 11th, followed by the European Central Bank (501.4 tons).
The United Kingdom is the 16th with 310.3 tons of gold.
Immediately before Romania is Greece with gold reserves of 112.4 tons, while 32th is Poland with 102.9 tons.Romania, Poland and Slovakia ( 48th with 31.8 tons) are the only states in Central and Eastern Europe in the top.
