ACTMedia - 29 Martie 2010
The Romanian companies are expected on the Russian market which provides business opportunities in various economic sectors, a news release of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR) informs.
'Come over in Russia and trust me you will be successful' the economic advisor of the Russian Embassy Igor Sidorov prompted Romanian companies during the Economic Forum entitled Tendencies and Perspectives on Commercial Relations Development between Romania and Russia, held at the Romanian Chamber of Trade and Industry headquarters. The Forum, organized by the hosts - CCIR in partnership with the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Business Center CSI, aimed at bringing together companies interested to discover new business opportunities on the Russian market, developing the economic relations with Russia and supporting a 'more aggressive promotion' of Romanian companies. The participants benefited from the most up-to-date information regarding the large-scale projects for Sochi town development and the conditions for entering the market in Krasnodar federal region. In the town-resort of Sochi, which is the future host of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the demand for constructions grew significantly, thus equipping and upgrading the entire infrastructure became priorities for the local authorities. A first step on this market can be taken by participating in the programme of fairs and exhibitions organized by SOUD - Sochi Exhibitions, presented by the company's deputy general manager Zakharchenko Aleksandr Yurievich. 'Romanian furniture, textile goods and footwear are well-known on the Russian market and we send an invitation to the Romanian companies to more seriously analyze the cooperation potential with Russia,' pointed out Igor Sidorov. In 2009 the bilateral trade activities registered a severe decrease by 56 percent, from 6 billion dollars to 2.8 billion dollars, with Romanian exports of only 720 million dollars. However, the Russians' interest in Romania did not fade, said Moscow's official representative, mentioning the fact that the large Russian capital companies in Romania, like Lukoil, Mechel and the large aluminum and aluminum products producers - Ruski Alumini and Vimetco - carry on with their hundreds of million euros investment plans.
