As many as 454 joint companies registered in January

As many as 454 joint companies with mixed share capital, local and foreign, were registered in Romania in January 2010, the total value of the subscribed share capital amounting at 19.976 billion lei, according to centralized data of the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Bucharest, April 2 /Agerpres/ - As many as 454 joint companies with mixed share capital, local and foreign, were registered in Romania in January 2010, the total value of the subscribed share capital amounting at 19.976 billion lei, according to centralized data of the National Statistics Institute (INS).

From 1991 to Jan. 31, 2010, a number of 167,182 joint companies were registered in Romania, with a subscribed share capital of 80.707 billion lei. (1 euro trades for 4.1 lei)

The highest number of companies with foreign participation to the capital were registered in Jan., in Bucharest - 170 companies, with a total capital of 3.961 million lei, Ilfov - 48 companies, with a capital of 187,300 lei, Timis - 29 companies, with a capital of 240,800 lei, Bihor - 22 companies, with a capital of 33,700 lei etc.

The highest number of foreign investors in Jan. were from Italy - 89, Germany - 46, Hungary - 35, Turkey - 33, China - 28 and Cyprus - 25.
