Romania's national currency falls to a reference exchange rate of 4.1128 lei/euro

The central lender BNR posted a reference level of 4.1128 lei per euro, 0.54 percent up from the previous session, as the Polish zloty and the Hungarian forint lost ground versus the euro, unlike the U.S. dollar which advanced gradually versus the single European currency.
The leu declined from 4.0940 to 4.1160 per euro on the interbank market at debut.
For the U.S. dollar, BNR's reference level added 1.08 percent from yesterday, to 3.0897 lei per dollar.
Overnight interests continued to decrease on Thursday as well and parked near 2.50 percent, significantly below the key interest rate of 6.50 percent a year.
BNR posted an average interbank bid rate (ROBID) of 2.23 percent a year, down from 2.44 percent in the previous session, and an interbank offer rate for overnight deposits (ROBOR) of 2.73 percent, below the previous 2.94 percent.
