The national currency continues to lose ground, the reference level climbs to 4.1430 lei/euro

Romania's Central Bank (BNR) settled an exchange rate of 4.1430 lei per euro, 0.45 percent up from the previous session, as the Hellene financial crisis got worse and affected the emergent currencies.
The euro was traded for 4.1246 lei on Tuesday, according to BNR.
The national currency opened session at 4.14 per euro and then waved near this level for a while. Around 1:10 p.m., the euro was sold for 4.1440 lei.
In the region, the Polish zloty declined to 3.95 per euro, while the Hungarian forint fell to 272.3 versus the euro, but recovered to 270 afterwards.
For the U.S. dollar, BNR's reference level rose 1.47 percent from the previous session, to 3.1416 lei per dollar.
BNR posted an average interbank bid rate (ROBID) of 5.55 percent a year, up from 4.16 percent in the previous session, and an interbank offer rate for overnight deposits (ROBOR) of 6.05 percent, above the previous 4.66 percent.
