Radu Carp appointed at the head of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute

Under a Foreign Minister order, Radu Carp, PhD, Professor, was appointed on Friday Director general of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (IDR), informs a Foreign Ministry release.
Carp is deputy dean of the Faculty of Political Science - University of Bucharest, member of the Romanian Public Law and Administrative Sciences Institute and vice-president of the Association for International Law and International Relations.
He is a Juris Doctor of the Cluj Babes-Bolyai University. Between 2006 - 2007 he was an associate professor with the Romanian Diplomatic Institute and acted as research programs manager with the Diplomatic Academy between 2003 and 2005.
Carp published several volumes written independently or under collective signature, including 'The Ministerial Responsibility. Comparative Public Law Study' (All-Beck Publishing House, 2003; 'The Right to Privacy and the Protection of Personal Data. From the Acquis Communautaire to Romanian Legislation' (written together with Simona Sandru) (All-Beck, 2004); 'The European Political Project. A Romanian Perspective' (together with Manuela Nevaci, Mariana Nicolae, Camelia Runceanu, Nicolae Saramandu), the European Institute of Romania, Bucharest, 2008; 'God in Brussels. Religion in the Public European Space,' Eikon, 2009.
According to the Foreign Ministry release, the appointment of Radu Carp at the helm of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute 'meets the need to adjust IDR to the urgent requirements for training and research inside the Foreign Ministry.'
