Bank of Cyprus has also requested an approval from BNR

After yesterday's announcement that Bank of Cyprus has received an authorization from Central Bank of Cyprus to increase its equity interest in Banca Transilvania (TLV) from 9.7% up to 20%, BNR has disclosed that the Cypriot bank has also officially requested its approval.
TLV's chairman cited by the local media said that he was not aware of these recent developments and that Bank of Cyprus needed an OK from the shareholders within GSM as well as from EBRD.
