Vodafone Romania - lower roaming tariffs
ACTMedia - 3 Iunie 2010
Roaming tariffs either made or received for Vodafone clients in the European Union (EU) space will be cut starting with June 11, they going to cost between 0.39 euro/minute and 0.15 euro/minute, announced on Wednesday Vodafone Romania in a press release.
Alongside this initiative, the mobile phone and data operator will expand its preferred operators chain all over the world. According to the quoted source, starting June 11, 2010, Vodafone Romania subscribers will benefit from the new tariffs for calls made and calls received in EU Member States and in the countries from the European Economic Space (EES) - Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as in Switzerland.
As such, both those holding a monthly subscription and the users of a Vodafone card who travel to the aforementioned zones can pay, through Vodafone World service, between 0.39 euro/minute - for a call to any destination in EU, EES and Switzerland compared to 0.43 euro at present and 0.15 euro/minute - for a received call in case of the same zones, compared to 0.19 euro, the current tariff. All tariffs are without VAT.
The company expands its preferred operators network to 56, available in all the world regions, so that a Vodafone Romania client who travels for instance to Egypt is to pay 0.5 euro/minute for a call locally, using Vodafone network in Egypt (Vodafone preferred operator), as against 0.75 euro/minute through other operators, thus benefiting of a cost reduction by 33 percent.
