Over 40 pc of companies enact restructuring plans

Over 40 percent of the Romania-based companies have enacted restructuring plans in Q1 of 2010, seeing to cut more jobs than in the last quarter of 2009, reads a study carried out by Dedalus MB, and made public during a news conference on human resources.
A quarter of the companies made collective layoffs, in the Q1 of the year,' Dedalus MB official Anca Amariei said.
The possibility of working at home grew by 10 percent in the first quarter of 2010 compared to the last quarter of 2009. As many as 46 percent of the companies said that the employees could work from at home and 77 percent of them that the programme can get more flexible.
According to the survey, ten percent of the companies allocated more than 1,000 euros for getting each employee trained and developed, and 30 percent of them have allotted between 200 and 1,000 euros per employee.
The survey had in view 229 companies having a high level of experience in the human resources field in Romania, companies whose activity is aimed at all the economy fields.
Taking into account that in 2009 the average salary rise scored 7 percent, we can say that the salary dropped by 20 percent in 2010,' PWC official Horatiu Cocheci stressed.
