SIFs assets, down 5.5 pct in June

At the end of June, the five Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) had aggregate net assets worth RON 7.36 billion lei, down 5.5 pct compared to the previous month and 1.4 pct from the end of 2009, informs the Romanian Fund Managers Association (AAF).
Expressed in the European currency, the net assets reported at the end of June amounted at EUR 1.68 billion, 9 pct lower than in the previous month and 4.5 pct from December 2009.
All the five SIFs suffered net assets corrections, the largest by SIF Moldova, with minus 7.5 pct, and the lowest by SIF Oltenia, with minus 4.6 pct.
At the level of closing prices, registered at the end of June, three of the five SIFs suffered significant corrections, SIF Moldova, with 3.3 pct, and SIF Oltenia, with 2.6 pct, being the only ones with higher values compared to the previous month. However, according to half year results, the evolution of the closing prices is a negative one for all the five SIFs.
The evolution of short-term financial investments in June, compared to a month earlier, is as follows: minus 8.2 pct for SIF Banat-Crisana, minus 14.4 pct for SIF Moldova, minus 7.8 pct for SIF Transilvania, minus 9.2 pct for SIF Muntenia and minus 5.8 pct for SIF Oltenia.
