Siveco Romania, recognized as 'Partner of the Year' by Microsoft for involvement in MCSI initiated project

Siveco Romania has been awarded in the world final within Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010 the 'Partner of the Year' title in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, according to a release of the Romanian company.
The award was granted for the involvement of the company in Romania in important projects with social value within the 'Citizenship' category, for the 'Knowledge Based Economy' project.
The Microsoft Awards recognize innovation, added business value and partners' results worldwide.
In 2010, the winners designated by Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe have been selected from over 500 proposals received from the partners network in the region and have been publicly presented during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010, organized in Washington in the period July 11 through 15.
The project 'Knowledge Based Economy', initiated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MCSI), is running in 255 communities in Romania, having as major objective ensuring access to information in order to reduce the digital divide, for digital literacy and creating competencies for an inclusive society.
The eComunitate portal developed within this project facilitates communication among and with these less favored communities, making available for the large audience an exhaustive access to the information from sectors such as education, culture, administration and entrepreneurship.
