ACTMedia - 22 Iulie 2010
Automobile Dacia, Nokia Romania, Rompetrol Rafinare, ArcelorMittal Galati and OMV Petrom were, over the first four months the main exporters, according to ANEIR data, the association announcing the 'coming out of exports from the recession'.
The National Association of Exporters and Importers of Romania (ANEIR) made up a top of the first 100 exporters between 1 January and 30 April , showing they made 53% if the total of deliveries on foreign markets. Thus, exports were after four months 10.82 billion euro, from 8.76 billion euro over the same period of 2009.
The biggest share is taken by cars and electrical equipment ( 26.4% of the total), cars, tractors, other vehicles ( 13.6%) and common metals and articles ( 11.4%). The period November 2009 – June 2010 represents eight months of growth and we can speak about « the coming out of the recession for exports » according to ANEIR.At the same time, the association announced that in March and April 2010 exports were higher than those of the same months before the crisis.
« The fact that the first 100 exporters represent 53% of the total of exports is a process of concentration to big companies' Mihai Ionescu, the general secretary of ANEIR said on Wednesday.
Out of the 100 companies, only four are Romanian ( Oltchim, Hidroelectrica, Interagro and Compa Sibiu) the rest being multinational.
According to ANEIR, the top of the first 100 exporters of this year show some changes, one being the coming out of metal producers and oil domain from the first places and the introduction of the companies in the domain of medicine and naval sites. 'The success of exporters has the BNR policy of ensuring the stability of the exchange rate between 4.1 – 4.3 lei/euro , with short periods of slipping away' Ionescu said. According to his opinion, an important support for exporters came from the state budget through support funds and export promotion, but from Eximbank as well, through the launching of new products of lending.
On the other hand, Ionescu appreciates that exports have a bigger potential of growth, if the ministry of finances answered to the VAT reimbursement requests on time and if they expanded the area of reimbursement of the tax with further control at the higher number of companies, beyond the present level of a million of euro volume of annual export. In the top of the first 100 exporters there are also companies such as Petrotel-Lukoil, Renualt Industrie Roumanie, Honeywell Tehnologies, Continental Automotive Product and Autoliv Romania. On the next position there are Lisa Draxlmayer Autopart Romania, Alro, Daewoo Mangalia, Heavy Industries, Takata_Petri Romania and Shaeffler Romania.
