Non-governmental loan gains 3.8 pct in June

The non-governmental loan granted by the credit institutions went up by 3.8% in June 2010 (3.6% in real terms) against May 2010, to RON 210.808 bn (over EUR 49 bn), informs the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The leu-denominated loan gained 0.5% (0.3% in real terms), while the foreign currency-denominated loan hiked by 5.8% in leu terms (it rose by 1.2% in euro terms).
On June 30, 2010, the non-governmental loan posted a 6.4% rise (2% in real terms) year-on-year due to the 13% increase in the foreign currency component expressed in lei (in euro terms, the foreign currency-denominated loan surged 8.8%) and the 3% decline reported by the leu-denominated component (-7.1% in real terms).
Governmental loan scaled back by 1.5% in June, to RON 52.392 bn. On June 30, 2010, the governmental loan went up by 42.6% (36.6% in real terms) against the same period of 2009.
Deposits opened by residents, non-governmental clients, rose by 1% this June against May 2010, to RON 170.082 bn.
