Romania continues to be an attractive destination to foreign investors

Bucharest ranks first in Europe regarding the fastest development rate, according to a recent study published by Oxford Economics, informs a Diana Metiu International Company press release.
According to the study, Bucharest attracted a series of important investments, such as research centres, infrastructure projects, residential buildings and green-energy projects. Among these there is the Concorde GmbH Group (international holding carrying out activities on four continents), which invests over 50 million dollars in creating the first stem cells treatment and research centre in Romania. Gruppe Development, which has recently entered the market in Romania, intends to build the first waste-recycling factory to produce green power.
'We trust Romania's incredible potential regarding the alternative energy development. The alternative energy potential on the Romanian market is basically somewhere up to 10,000 - 12,000 MWh, by 2020. At present, we are analysing the possibility of some hydro projects and developing transport networks for electric power. All these will be carried out in partnership with several local companies. We are also considering to develop an infrastructure project on transport,' said Eugen Ciuhat, senior vice-president Government Liaison of Gruppe Development Inc.
Adama Company, one of the most active real-estate developers, present on the local market as early as 2004 with an international portfolio of 45 residential and commercial projects, has nine ongoing projects in Romania - one in Bacau, one in Brasov and one in Iasi, two in Ploiesti and 4 in Bucharest.
Over 400 apartments will be ready by the end of 2010, while in 2011 they wish to continue the development in Brasov and in Bucharest, in Berceni neighbourhood, and at the same time they want to expand and build in some other important cities in Transilvania. 'Romania is our main priority and our goal is to reach 3,000 households in a couple of years. Our future plan is to duly complete everything we started,' said Adama marketing and sales manager Asher Lax.
