People’s delays by 30 days for credits exceed EUR 1 bn

The payment delays for credits of natural persons for more than 30 days grew in June by 6.6% compared to the previous month, to 4.45 billion lei, according to data of the Credit Office, published by BNR.
In June the number of people with delays grew by 8,500 to a total of 714,071 persons.
The average value of an unpaid debt was 6245 in June , 5.4% more than in the previous month and by 50% compared to the end of 2009.
Most delays are registered for credits in lei, with over 2.41 billion lei, while delays for loans in euro exceeded the equivalent of 1.54 billion lei. For loans in US dollars, delays exceeded the equivalent of 15 million lei, while delays for credits in other currencies were 484.66 million lei.Most delays in payments exceeded 90 days, amounting to 3.21 billion lei, 3.22% more than in May, while credits to be collected increased by 8.66% to 839 million lei. Unpaid debts with delays between 31 and 60 days dropped to 74.88 million lei, 2% less than the previous month, while those with delays between 61 and 90 days dropped by 4.38% to 103.43 million lei, according to BNR.
