Romania is among European countries with highest growths in industry

Romania is among the European countries with the highest year to year growth in new orders in industry, with an 34.6 percent appreciation and an increase by 5.5 percent in June 2010, according to data provided by Eurostat, quoted in a release of the personal adviser to Prime Minister Emil Boc, Andreea Paul Vass.
The highest monthly growths in new orders in industry were registered in Denmark - 23 percent, the Netherlands - 8.9 percent and Romania - 5.5 percent.
The highest annual growths in this sector were recorded in Denmark - 64.8 percent, Latvia - 61.2 percent, Estonia - 49.2 percent, Romania - 34.6 percent, Germany and Finland, both 32.8 percent.
In the constructions sector, the largest monthly increases were recorded in Romania - 16.5 percent, Spain - 7.2 percent and Poland - 4.5 percent.
In the second quarter of 2010, compared with the first quarter, Romania saw a decrease in the constructions sector by 0.7 percent, winning abetter position compared with Slovenia, where there was recorded a decrease by 5.4 percent, Portugal - a decrease by 2 3 percent and Hungary - a decrease by 3.7 percent.In Romania, the annual decrease in the constructions sector stood at 5.3 percent, compared with 19.6 percent the annual decrease in Hungary, 17.5 percent the annual decrease in Bulgaria and 16.9 percent the annual decrease in Slovenia. According to the abovementioned source, new orders in industry have recorded an upward trend both in EU and in the euro area, marking thus a more consistent economic recovery for the capital goods. Romania is situated on top of the monthly and annual evolutions in EU-27 in terms of new orders in the industrial sector.
