Romania and Switzerland sign on September 7th the agreement for non-refundable funds for 181 million Swiss Francs

The bilateral agreement between the governments of Romania and Switzerland for the non-refundable financing programme of 181 million Swiss francs will be signed on Tuesday 7 September in Berne, Alexandru Nazare, state secretary in the ministry of public finance announced.
The funds will go to local authorities for the infrastructure, social projects or environment projects, NGOs for the consolidation of the ' civil society' and private companies, for partnerships with Swiss companies, Nazare explained. After signing the bilateral agreement there will be the establishing of implementation rules for each component.
The MFP state secretary stated that the first financing component will be the projects of the ministry of home affairs for accession to the Schengen area, projects for the consolidation of borders or training for the customs personnel. The contribution of the financing beneficiaries, for projects in this programme will be 15% for public administration, 10% for NGOs and 35-40% for private companies.
The Federal council of Switzerland approved the bilateral framework agreements with Romania and Bulgaria on 23 June 2010 and the government of Romania approved on 7 July the Memorandum with the theme ' Approval of the negotiation and the signing of the agreement – between the government of Romania and the Federal Council of Switzerland for the implementation of the cooperation programme Swiss – Romania regarding the reduction of the economic and social disparities within the extended European Union.'
