Erste Bank offers to BCR's employees RON 14.03 for a share

According to local media, Erste Bank has launched an offer for BCR shares owned by the employees, willing to pay RON 14.03 (EUR 3.28) for each stock.
The last offer initiated by Erste Bank for BCR shares and addressed to its employees was in late 2006. The offered price of RON 14.03 per share is slightly below our current price used to value SIFs' NAV, namely RON 14.53. We view this piece of news as neutral since we consider that the lower offer of Erste Bank is justified by the diminished bargaining power of the employees relative to the SIFs.
