The legislative proposal to hike the ownership limit – update

According to local media which cited two members of the Parliament, including the initiator, the proposal to hike the ownership limit in SIFs from 1% to 5% might be voted in Chamber of Deputies by the end of this session (early December).
Currently, the proposal has been stuck in Budget and Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies after being approved by the Senate, waiting for an opinion from the Government. We regard this news as neutral, considering that momentum behind this legislative proposal has diminished a lot since late 2009.
