Eurostat : Romania, third place in the EU after the annual growth of exports in January-July

Romania occupies third place in the EU depending on the annual growth of exports inter and outer community in the period January-July of 25% at 20.5 billion euro and the fifth position according to imports advance, of 20% at 26 billion euro, according to the Eurostat data.
The highest growth of exports inter and outer community was recorded, between January and July by Bulgaria ( 29% - 8.3 billion euro). The next position is occupied by Latvia ( 26% at 3.8 billion euro). The same place as Romania is for Lithuania, whose exports are situated at 8.2 billion euro.
Germany is the leader of the union as regards the value of exports ( 540 billion euro, up by 17%) being followed by the Netherlands ( 241.7 billion euro, up by 20%) and France ( 228.1 billion euro, 12% up against January – July 2009).
Among the EU states, only Luxembourg recorded a negative evolution of exports for the analysed period. The biggest growth of imports is in Sweden ( 30% - 61.5 billion euro) Lithuania ( 27%) the Czech Republic and the Netherlands ( 22%) Slovakia and Poland ( 21%). An advance of imports similar to that of Romania was found in Estonia.
The difference between exports and imports is negative in 16 community states, zero in three and positive in the others. The biggest commercial extra is in Germany ( 87.7 billion euro), the highest deficit is in the UK ( 63.6 billion euro).The main exporter to the EU states is, for the period under analysis, China ( 150.3 billion euro, up by 25%) and the state that imports the most from the EU is the US ( 136.4 billion euro, up by 13%). The data presented by Eurostat regarding exports and imports of the community states between January and June are not seasonally adjusted.
