Romanian-Polish cooperation in mining and defence industries

Romania and Poland have been studying cooperation opportunities in fields such as the mining industry and the defence industry and the development of the industrial parks, informs Economy, Trade and Business Environment Ministry (MECMA) release.
MECMA State Secretary Claudiu Stafie, on Tuesday, attended the Romanian-Polish Economic Forum, organized in Bucharest, on the initiative of Poland's Embassy to Romania.
Based on the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Poland, the Polish party was launched the invitation to attend the Economic Forum devoted to clusters and the launch of the Association of Clusters in Romania, an event to be staged by MECMA, in Nov 2010.
The tangible result of the cooperation in the defense industry could be materialized in the participation in the 7th edition of the International Exhibition of Military Technique - EXPOMIL 2011, through military products made within industrial partnerships between Romanian and Polish manufacturers.
Also attending the Forum were officials of the Polish Economy Ministry, State Secretary Rafal Baniak, experts in the defence industry, mining industry and the industrial policy, officials of Poland's Embassy in Bucharest.
