Finance Ministry sells T-bonds worth over EUR 46 mn

Public Finance Ministry (MFP) , on Thursday, drew over 46 million euros (220 billion lei) issuing benchmark treasury bills, placed in tender by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The government securities have a five-year maturity (April 30, 2015), and the issue was purchased at an average benefit of 7 percent. The weighted average discount rate was 6 percent, and that of the price of 96.1908 percent.
The total value of the issue was over 69 million euro (300 million lei) and the total demand of the twelve banks involved in the tender was 143.65 million euros (619.16 million lei). MFP rejected purchase offers lower than 96.1908 percent.
Twelve primary dealers laid offers on the government securities: Alpha Bank Romania, the Romanian Development Bank - Groupe Societe Generale, the Carpatica Commercial Bank, the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), the Transilvania Bank, Bancpost, the CEC Bank, Citibank Romania, ING Bank, the Raiffeisen Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
