Talks between the Ministry of Economy and FMI

According to media source, talks between representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and those of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment (MECMA) were focused on issues related to public companies, without having touched the subject of reducing wages in these companies.
The talks focused on the privatization projects in the energy sector: the sale of 15% in gas transporter Transgaz , 9.84% in OMV Petrom, 15% in Romgaz and 15% in Transelectrica. Furthermore, there were talks on launching the privatization of the companies Cuprumin and Oltchim, and attracting investments at Avioane Craiova, Moldomin, Uzina Termoelectrica, Midia Navodari, CE Rovinari, CE Craiova and Termoelectrica's plants in Paroseni, Braila, Galati, Borzesti and Doicesti, according to the Economy Ministry.
