Romanian-Omani diplomatic dialogue

The consolidation of the relations with the Sultanate of Oman and the importance attached to identifying some projects of cooperation in fields of common interest were the main subjects dealt with by Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Baconschi during the meeting he had on Monday with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi on the occasion of the official visit the latter one is paying to Romania.
According to a press release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent on Monday, Teodor Baconshi said that the memorandum of understanding between the Romanian and Omani Ministries of Foreign Affairs being signed was a document that is quite significant in this respect.
The Secretary General of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced confidence that the first round of political talks at the level of the Foreign Affairs Ministries in the two countries would give increased substance to the bilateral dialogue, reads the above-mentioned release.
The two officials also approached the theme of the relations between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council and emphasized the opportuneness of intensifying the efforts meant for concluding the negotiations between two two sides for signing the Free Trade Agreement.
