Financial analysts expecting inflation to reach 8% in late 2010

Annual inflation in Romania should reach 8 percent, according to estimates of the Association of Financial and Banking Analysts of Romania (AAFBR).

Estimates vary between 7.6 and 8.2 percent, slightly up from their estimates of one month ago - 7.8 percent - and two months ago - 7.9 percent.

AAFBR is expecting now the inflation rate for December 2010 to stay at 4.2 percent, with variations of between 3.5 and 5 percent.

An internal poll of the AAFBR analysts indicates that inflation should be 0.5 percent for October 2010 - with variations of between 0.4 and 0.7 percent, with the annual rate expected to reach 7.8 percent - with variations of 7.3 percent to 8.1 percent.

AAFBR is a non-for-profit professional association established in January 2008 of 60 analysts of the banking sector, pension funds, investment administration companies, insurance companies and the capital market.
