Volume of Romania-USA commercial exchanges exceeded RON 1 bn on 30 September

Romanian exports to the US were of 516 million dollars , on the rise by 56.4% as against September while imports were of 489 million dollarsand registered a drop of 0.5%.The US are among the main partners of Romania's commercial and investment business outside EU.

According to MECMA, the main investments and economic cooperation projects in the energy and other fields of mutual interest were discussed on Tuesday by Ion Ariton, the minister of economy, trade and business Ion Aritom together with the US ambassador to Bucharest , HE Mark H. Gitenstein.In the context of the dialogue about the stage, structure and evolution of bilateral commercial exchanges, the US diplomat and minister Ion Ariton pointed out the need and the possibility to intensify economic relations and facilitate direct meetings at government and business environment level.
