Central bank pays over one million euros for software licence acquisition
Agerpres - 3 Ianuarie 2011
The National Bank of Romania (BNR) awarded a contract worth nearly five million lei (1.14 million euros), pre-VAT, to Bucharest-based Ingenio Software company for the supply of Oracle software licence and technology required for the digital signature, the BNR said in an announcement published on the Public Acquisition Electronic System (SEAP) web site.
The contract originally amounted to 5.25 million lei, but it was later cut to 4.92 million lei following the contract awarding procedure, namely negotiation without an announcement of participation.
The BNR resorted to such a procedure because the products and services can be provided by a certain bidder only, due to technical reasons.
The contract is not subject to the agreement on the public acquisition contracts nor is it related to any programme financed by European Union funds.
