Stock market opens 2011 first trading session high

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened high its 2011 first trading session, with the BET-C composite index increasing by 0.39 percent, in the 15 opening minutes on Monday.
The BET-FI index that tracks the performance of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) rose by 1.36 percent, while the BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid 10 listed issuers and the ROTX index edged up 0.61 percent and 0.62 percent respectively (the value on Dec. 30, 2010).
The BET-XT extended blue-chip index of the 25 most liquid companies ticked up by 0.73 percent, while the BET-NG index of energy and utilities companies appreciated by 0.52 percent.
The BVB liquidity was 120,849 euros (517,816 lei) and trading conducted on the RASDAQ market in the 15 opening minutes stood at 751 euros.
The most liquid issuers were the SIF5 Oltenia, SIF1 Banat-Crisana, SIF2 Moldova, SIF3 Transilvania, SIF4 Muntenia.
