SOCEP, Transgaz and UCM Resita - top listed shares on stock-exchange. in 2010

Shares of companies like SOCEP Constanta, Transgaz and UCM Resita topped the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB)'s lists, in 2010, bringing the investors appreciations up to 155 percent for the first company, and of 78 percent for the next two, Intercapital Invest brokers say.
Among the top 10 companies listed on the BVB and whose stocks were witnessing appreciations in 2010, it is worth mentioning Azomures - that went up 71 percent, Aerostar - 70 percent, Compa Sibiu - 47 percent, Zentiva - 46 percent, Mechel Targoviste - 44 percent, Broker Cluj - 43.59 percent and Zimtub - 44 percent.
To the opposite pole, the lowest listed companies were Electroputere - 47 percent, Uztel - 46 percent, Siretul Pascani - 44 percent, Energopetrol - 42 percent, Comelf - 36 percent, Impact - 33 percent, Alumil - 33 percent, Teraplast - 32 percent, Banca Transilvania - 27 percent and Rompetrol Well Services - 25 percent.
The most transacted shares on the BVB, last year, were SIF5 Oltenia - with transfers grossing 1.174 billion lei, BRD - 666.02 million lei, SIF2 Moldova - 588.45 million lei, Rompetrol Rafinare - 454.91 million lei, Banca Transilvania - 349.77 million lei, SIF3 Transilvania - 303.14 million lei, SIF1 Banat Crisana - 284.85 million lei, Petrom - 282.63 million lei, SIF2 Muntenia - 188.90 million lei and Erste Bank - 175.86 million lei.

The BVB main index BET went up 12.32 percent, the BET-C composite index appreciated 14.6 percent, whereas the shares of the five financial investment companies (SIFs, the evolution of which is reflected by the BET-FI index) dropped 7.89 pct on the background of the poor results the SIFs reported, and due to their failing to meet expectations regarding the appreciation of the stock holding ceiling and the economic recovery, worldwide, respectively.
The sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG with a growth worth 29.47 percent was witnessing the best evolution among the BVB indices, in 2010.The BVB transactions amounted to 5.6 billion lei, in 2010, similar to 2009, but lower than in 2005
The investors were reserved, waiting for the developments of the home context and of the Proprietatea Fund listing, Intercapital Invest officials opine.
