Stock Exchange trading totalled EUR 2.15 bn in 2010

Trading on all Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) rings totalled 2.15 billion euros in 2010, up by 29 percent from 2009, the BVB has announced.
Trading in shares, including deeds amounted to 1.48 billion euros, up by 10.7 percent on 2009.
The year 2010 saw a trading peak in the bonds market that totalled 620.5 million euros, a 104.8 percent surge compared to 2009. Trading in futures in 2010 saw its best year since having been launched in 2007.
The value of the trading was 25.3 million euros, up by 59.5 percent on 2009.
The BVB new financial instrument in 2010, the structured products, posted significant development, with 10.7 million euros worth of trading; the number of the transactions was 12,706 for 1.2 million traded units.
The landmark indices had positive developments overall. BET was up by 12.3 percent to 5,258.61 points, BET-C climbed 14.6 percent to 3,111.17 points and BET-NG edged up 29.5 percent to 771.97 points. BET-XT closed at 470.61 points, marking a 1.9 percent rise.
BET-FI was the only index having recorded drops and it closed the year in 21,980.58 points, after sliding 8 percent.
The BVB in 2010 staged 255 trading sessions, up from 250 in 2009.
