Stock market opens high

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened high its 2011 second trading session, with the BET-C composite index increasing by 0.52 percent, in the 20 opening minutes on Tuesday.

The BET-FI index that tracks the performance of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) rose by 0.99 percent, while the BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten listed issuers and the ROTX index edged up 0.62 percent and 0.48 percent respectively.

The BET-XT extended blue-chip index of the 25 most liquid companies ticked up by 0.61 percent, while the BET-NG index of energy and utilities companies appreciated by 0.84 percent.

The BVB liquidity was 221,037.45 euros (943,785.68 lei) and trading conducted on the RASDAQ market in the 15 opening minutes stood at 2,323.92 euros.

The most liquid issuers were the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), Erste Group Bank AG (EBS), SIF2 Moldova, Banca Transilvania (TLV) and CNTEE Transelectrica (TEL).a
