International Monetary Fund to release 7th tranche on Tuesday

Approval of the seventh tranche within the loan to Romania 'will occur two working days after Friday's meeting of the IMF Executive Board,' announced the International Monetary Fund Regional Resident Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, Tonny Lybek on Monday.

The seventh disbursement in amount of 904.8 million euros 'will fill the National Bank (BNR) accounts in its entirety,' added Lybek.
Although the common partner for IMF are central banks, only half of the second, third and fourth tranches went to the National Bank, the rest of the aforementioned amounts being given to the Ministry of Public Finance.
The approval on Friday of the seventh tranche of the total loan of 13.5 billion euros lent to Romania by IMF sets the amount given by the Fund within the financial supporting package for Romania to 12.44 billion dollars, to which add the amounts of 3.5 billion euros from the European Commission out of a total of 5 billion euros as well as the 300 million euros from World Bank, out of a loan of a billion euros.
The financial supporting package for Romania, agreed on May 4, 2009 with the big world lenders totals 20 billion euros, Agerpres informs.
