Investment worth EUR 1.3 mn in industrial facility in Baia Mare

A 1.3 million euro investment consisting in a rubber products factory owned by the Hertalan Ro company, the Romanian subsidiary of the Dutch company Hertalan Rubber Products, was built and went into use in Baia Mare (northern Romania), Remco Romania, the constructor of the new industrial facility, told Agerpres in a release on Tuesday.
The factory in Baia Mare lies on an area comprising 2,650 production spaces, a 500 square metre storage area and a 350 square metre area for offices and administrative spaces.
'By this investment, Hertalan Rubber Products intends to expand its production capacity for Europe,' according to a release reading that the Dutch company has an experience spanning four decades in producing and trading rubber membranes and covers.
Baia Mare was deemed as place of interest for foreign investors 'owing to the manpower specialized in the industrial sector, as well as its location, closer to Western Europe. Hertalan company was welcome by the local community because our investment will ensure an important number of jobs,' said Ge Morssink, Hertalan Group CEO.
'The new factory of the Hertalan Ro company is our first project initiated in Maramures County. We are glad we can include this project in our portfolio with industrial turn-key projects,' said Jan van Vulpen, CEO of Remco Ruimtebouw Holland and Remco Romania.
Remco Ruimtebouw b.v., with subsidiaries in Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Bulgaria, has been active in the Netherlands since 1972. In 2009, Remco Ruimtebouw b.v. Group had a 47 million euro turnover.
Remco Romania has been working on the Romanian market since 1996 and has a portfolio with more than 100 projects adding up to 500,000 square metres, more or less, in such fields as production, transports, storage, distribution, retail and wholesale trade, services, sports.
