Petrom cuts fuel price by 4 bani/litre

Petrom cut on Tuesday the reference price of fuels in OMV and Petrom petrol stations by 4 bani/litre due to the decrease in the tax component by 0.01 dollars, following the stop in collecting the tax for the Special Fund for Petroleum Products, the company informs.
The tax component in the fuel price represents some half of fuel price, according to Petrom, which mentions that the average price charged by the operators in Romania is among the lowest in the European Union.
The company adds that the prices it charges depend on international fuel prices and competition on the market. Moreover, prices are influenced by fiscal policy and exchange rate.
