Transactions worth EUR 50 mn of FP shares boost BVB liquidity to reccord level

Transactions worth 50 million euros of the Proprietatea Fund (FP) shares, on Tuesday, boosted the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) liquidity to the record level of 244.39 million lei, namely 57.34 million euros, during the past eleven months.
A higher level of transactions was scored in Feb 15, 2010 when special deals of Rompetrol Refinery stocks, transferring over 15 percent of the Company's share capital, and surged the BVB liquidity to over 264 million lei.
About 2.5 percent of the FP share capital was transferred to the BVB, on Tuesday, when the transactions totaled around 50 million euros (213.63 million lei), through 5,638 operations, FP stocks quotations ranging between 0.6020 lei per share and 0.6750 lei per share, the session closing at 0.6495 lei per share.
Listing FP could triple BVB liquidity, FP manager Franklin Templeton has recently said.
The quotations of the shares listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) appreciated 0.17 percent on average on Tuesday, as measured by the BET-C composite index, while the BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) went up 1.41 percent.
On the BVB main ring - Regular - shares issued by 54 companies were traded, out of which 20 appreciated, 8 stagnated and 26 dropped.
The BET index, reflecting the evolution of the ten most liquid shares listed, increased 0.12 percent, the BET-XT extended bluechip index of the 25 most liquid companies went up 0.6 percent and the BET-NG index of the companies in the energy and utilities sector registered a 0.38 percent drop.
