Stocks down in Wednesday's session opening

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened down on Wednesday, with the BET-C composite index sliding 0.37 percent in the first fifteen minutes after the session opening. Trades in the first quarter-hour were in excess of RON 18.397 million. Of this amount, Proprietatea Fund shares - freshly introduced to trades on Tuesday - accounted for RON 2.239 million.

The BET-FI index that tracks the performance of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) dropped 0.42 pct, whereas the BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten listed issuers lost 0.39 percentage points and the ROTX index dipped 0.43 pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers dropped 0.46 pct and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG lost 0.01 pct.

Stocks worth RON 33,715 changed hands on the RASDAQ market in the first fifteen minutes of the session.

The top liquid issuers were Properietatea Fund, SIF4 Muntenia, SIF 3 Transylvania, Condmag and Azomures.
