Romanian Trade Registry: No of insolvencies sharply down in Jan

The number of Romanian companies dubbed insolvent in January dropped to 202, compared to a monthly average of 1,500-2,000 registered over the past two years and a half, Trade Registry data showed Wednesday.
Last year, 21,692 companie started insolvency procedures, compared to 19,894 the year before.There were 7,545 new firms registered in January, compared to 7,403 in the same interval of the previous year.As such, in the timeframe analyzed, there were 886,000 firms active nationwide.
