Romania's 4Q 2010 GDP - details

The National Statistics Institute (INSSE) published yesterday details on 4Q 2010 GDP evolution. The revised data confirmed preliminary figures that showed Romania's 4Q 2010 GDP rose by 0.1% qoq, while FY 2010 GDP contraction was of 1.3% (vs. initial data of 1.2%).
Over the final quarter the fastest growing sectors were agriculture (+7.4% yoy), industry (+5.8% yoy), while constructions and commerce contracted 7% and 2.9% yoy, respectively. On the utilization side, consumption was down 2% yoy due to a decrease in both households and government spending, while gross investments declined 4.7% yoy.
