Stock market closes high

Stocks traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Monday increased by 0.18 percent on average as reflected by the BET-C composite index, while financial investment securities surged by 0.85 percent, as indicated by the BET-FI index.

Trade on the BVB Regular main ring was conducted in shares issued by 55 companies, 20 of which registered growth, 8 stagnated and 27 depreciated.The total value of dealings on the main ring stood at 12.1 million euros (50.93 million lei) and on the Rasdaq ring the trading volume amounted to 179,590 euros.

The BET index reflecting the developments in the 10 most liquid stocks edged up 0.05 percent, the BET-XT extended blue-chip index of the 25 most liquid companies went up by 0.38 percent while the BET-NG index of energy and utilities companies dropped by 0.42 percent.

The most liquid stocks were the Proprietatea Fund, with dealings of 15.59 million lei and SIF5 Oltenia with dealings of 6.77 million lei.
