SIF Banat Crisana dividend proposal

SIF Banat Crisana called shareholders for the annual (E)GSM on April 27 to approve among others the dividend to be paid out of the 2010 net profit of RON 63 mn.
The company intends to distribute 35% of its net profit as dividends, corresponding to a dividend per share of RON 0.04, implying a dividend yield of 3.6% on yesterday's closing price. The ex-dividend date was set for May 12, 2011. The pay-out ratio is higher than last year (17%) but we believe investors were expecting higher dividends after the announcements of SIF Transilvania and SIF Moldova, therefore we see the news as neutral.
