Eurostat : Romania sees second big drop in building works, in EU, in Jan

Romania registered the second big drop in the building works, namely minus 6.4 percent, among the EU countries, in Jan 2011, compared to the previous month, given that the building works went up with 1.0 percent in the EU, read data the Statistical Office of the EU Commission (Eurostat) made public on Thursday.
It was only the UK that registered a deeper plunge than Romania's, i.e. minus 9.4 percent.At the yearly pace, Romania recorded the fourth big fall in the building works, namely minus 9.3 percent, in Jan 2011 vs. the same month in 2010.
