ANEIR President: Export has been only locomotive that pulled ahead Romanian economy
ACTMedia - 22 Martie 2011
Romania is the first in Europe in a rankings of countries that have managed to achieve in 2010 the 2008 level of exports, stated on Friday, in Focsani (east), Mihai Ionescu, president of the National Association of Exporters and Importers of Romania (ANEIR).
During a meeting with representatives of the exporters in the County of Vrancea (east), and of the commercial banks, Mihai Ionescu said that, although it is a time of economic crisis, at the level of the European Union (EU), Romania succeeded in 2010 to best emerge from this context 'due to exports'.
'At the end of 2010 seven European countries have managed to reach the level of their exports in 2008 and Romania was in the first place in this rankings. Unfortunately, the export was the only locomotive pulling ahead the Romanian economy', pointed out ANEIR President Mihai Ionescu.
Eximbank representatives have presented the package they offer for supporting companies and public authorities that have projects financed from structural funds. The bank offers them co-financing, pre-financing, non-binding letters of intent or guarantees.
EximBank can cover up to 100 percent of the specific financing needs of the projects implemented based on EU money. Export companies that are eligible can benefit of some tools offered by Eximbank and which are guaranteed by the Romanian state.
