Romanian Leu’s exchange rate gains 0.6% at 4.102 vs Euro

The Romanian leu traded in ranges against the euro in mid session Thursday, and the central bank's reference gained 0.6% at 4.102 units, the strongest in almost one year.
The leu posted an insignificant gain against the US dollar and touched a fresh 14-month high at 2.9046 units.The leu opened at 4.103/4.105 per euro, from 4.1155/4.1175 per euro at Wednesday's closing.It touched an early high at 4.1 units, and traded at 4.1/4.1025 units by GMT1100.The currencies in the region were also up byu some 0.4% versus the euro.On the money market, overnight rates rose to 4.4%-4.9% a year, from 2.2%-2.7% a year Wednesday.
