Significant growth expected in the Romanian-Israeli business environment

Relations between Romania and Israel are excellent, said the Ambassador of Israel to Romania, Dan Ben-Eliezer, Wednesday, March 23, on the occasion of his participation in an event planned to strengthen economic and cultural ties between Israeli companies and the Romanian ones.
'I am a relatively new Ambassador to Romania. I've been here for six months and I can say that relations between our countries are excellent', stressed Dan Ben-Eliezer. According to him, on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania (MAE), Israel is defined as a strategic partner of Romania. He also said that Romania is perceived as a strategic partner of Israel and that the two countries share the same values.
'Speaking about economic cooperation, the trade between Romania and Israel in 2010 amounted to 427 million dollars (...) Israel's investment in Romania is 3 billion dollars, but it is actually more than that' , said Dan Ben-Eliezer. He added that Israel is an ancient nation, a young state and an innovative country in many areas.
Yifat Inbar, Economic and Trade Attache of the Israeli Embassy in Romania, said that Israel is succeeding to export all kinds of agricultural products, and the secret of this success is technology.
Organized by Marketing Tactics firm and its partners, the event 'Country Focus: March in Israel' brought together representatives of the Romanian-Israeli business environment, managers, entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of embassies and bilateral chambers of commerce.The event is part of a series of business events organized in partnership with embassies present in Romania and designed as a platform for dialogue between foreign businessmen and the Romanian entrepreneurs.
