Equity trading drops by 4% last week

Equity trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) fell 4 percent last week and stood at 232.96 million lei, according to brokers of the financial investment services company Intercapital Invest.
The most liquid shares were Property Fund, with transactions of 82.47 million lei, SIF5 Oltenia - 27.39 million lei, SIF2 Moldova - 21,26 million lei, SIF3 Transilvania - 12,69 million lei and BRD - 10.18 million lei.
Bond transactions totaled 4.46 million lei, those with structured products - 2.69 million lei, with term instruments (futures) - 0.43 million lei and transactions with fund units - 0.33 million lei. On the Deal market of special transactions, the equity trading stood at 16.22 million lei.
Stock exchange indexes rose significantly last week, with increases ranging from 5.86 percent for BET-FI index of SIFs and 6.92 percent for BET-XT.
During the period under review, 46 shares have increased, 12 stagnated and 17 have dropped. Shares climbing the most were Zentiva - 35.21 percent, Electrocontact - 22.31 percent and BRD - 12.86 percent, and the following suffered the most severe depreciations: Armatura - 8.52 percent, Sinteza - 7.21 percent and Farmaceutica Remedia - 6.36 percent.
